In Case of FIRE
Call 9 1 1 for emergency dispatch of ambulance/fire/police

FIRE SAFETY PROCEDURE
-
Rescue/Remove: Immediately remove people from the immediate area to a safe location.
-
Alarm: Call 911
-
Confine: Close doors to the affected area to prevent the fire from spreading.
-
Extinguish/Evacuate:
-
If trained and comfortable, and the fire is small, attempt to extinguish it using a fire extinguisher, but only if it's safe to do so.
-
If the fire is too large or you are uncomfortable, immediately evacuate to a safe location away from the building.
-
Follow designated evacuation routes, using stairwells.
-
Proceed to a designated assembly area, away and upwind from the building.
-

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Fire extinguishers are located on each floor and mounted on the wall, usually close to a stairwell. Take time to locate the fire extinguisher before any emergency.

SHUTTING OFF THE GAS
-
Proceed to turn off the propane gas to the apartment. Gas shut off valves are located outside of each building. Look for a white concrete box with a metal lid.
-
Gas can be turned off for the whole building, or for each unit individually.

SHUTTING OFF THE WATER
-
In case of a water leak, find the main shut off valve outside of your building. It is located close to the ground near the entrance.
-
Turn the Red valve to shut off the water. Water can be shut off for the whole building, or for just one apartment.
